Observation 3 : The Learning environment







The Learning Environment 




Focus: The learning environment.


Objective:  For student teachers to map the learning environment that 

exists in the classroom including the layout of the seated area and the learning 

centers.


3a)  Make a sketch of the classroom and identify the 

function of each area.




Procedure

Draw a map of the learning environment within the classroom and list the 

functions of each of the activity areas. If possible take photographs of the 

classroom including displays on the wall.






3b)  Make a chart and takes notes on what you 

observe




Area of class

Function
White board
The teacher uses the whiteboard to explain lessons for pupils.
Display area
In this area the teacher can display  some of videos or other work. Then explain the work for students.
Words area
In this area the students use letters to form new words . Also, they learn how to write and spell.
Reading area
In this area the student can read the story and can also borrow it by typing her name and she can read it outside the classroom.
Computer Area

In this area can use the computer to display by PowerPoint or to watch the video.
Center Area

All students are sitting in this area and each one has a desk. They were divided into groups. Each group consists of four students.
