1. Look at
the Curriculum provided by ADEC. Incorporate and use the
resources provided by ADEC together with Teacher
researching
activities for the class. Use the year plan drawn up by
the teachers
the previous year. Plan as a grade group a Monthly parent
planner
for the new theme. This will be given to the parents. Each
teacher
will draw up their own lesson plan, Daily for The week.
2. Yes. Students will be given worked based on their
level. Activities in
Focus Group and Centers are differentiated.

Pastoral

1. Parents
are given an opportunity to observe the teacher and students in the class for
every Theme on a Monthly basis.
2. Parents have Parent consultation once every term.
3. Parents are invited to participate in the Events of the
School. (Recycling Day/Hajj etc.)
4. School have an open door Policy for Parents to come and
make an appointment to see the teacher as required.
5. Parents can communicate with the teacher via What sup
&
Communication Book.
6. Pastoral Work as a teacher includes every aspect of the
Child (Emotional well being/Behavior/Learning)
Teachers are required to meet the needs of the students.
Some of the duties are:
* Lunch Duty - Help children to open/close boxes. Check to
see if they are eating healthy lunches. Teach them correct etiquettes while
eating. (Say prayer etc.)
* Pod duty - Before and after school. Once a week teacher
have duties in the morning at 7:30 till the start of the school day. Every
afternoon the teacher will wait with their class for the parents to fetch the
students. Once every 6 week The teacher has late duty which requires the
teacher to stay at school until all children have left for home.
* Bus Duty - Once very second week. Fetch students from
the bus and walk them to the class.
* Reception Duty -
Welcome early students and take care of the till 7:30,until pod duty start.
* Safety in the Class and outside.
* If students are sick, get The necessary help they need.

How
do you manage your class? Do you have any problems with class
management? Which classroom rules do you use? Why?

Establish a good classroom routine. Put rules and a positive reward System in
place. Implement.

4. We have Circle Time Rules, Center Rules, Outdoor rules
and general classroom behavior rules. We also use Approaches to learning
outcomes which enhances the student's holistic growth and help manages their
attitudes and behaviors.

Teaching Strategies

strategies should we follow?

1. Active
learning and Real life experiences of the child. Students go on trips and a
powerpoint and story will be made from the activity.
2. We should follow as many strategies as possible
according to what you want to teach. Students need to be engaged in a positive
way. Using the Centers are also good for students to explore and discover for
themselves. Hands on approach is important for Science where students engage
with the materials and their natural surroundings. Experiments are a good way
for students to follow simple procedures and predict, observe and record
their findings. Powerpoints and ICT is also a valuable tool for the students
which give students opportunity for self discovery. Using the revealing strategy
for learning Phonics is really effective. Sing along are good to acquire the
spoken language and recording their voices.
